Interview FAQ

Interviews can be tough, but after you have been to a couple you start to relax a bit more. Some you might even enjoy! At AIL of New Zealand Ltd, we want you prepared for what could be a life-changing event. Below are some commonly asked questions we receive from potential candidates.

What do I wear to my AIL of New Zealand Ltd interview?
It is reqeusted that candidates dress professionally (business attire) for the interview.

What does an interview entail?
We want to learn as much as possible about you. The initial interview only lasts about 10 minutes. If we determine that you are a potential candidate, we will ask you to sit in on an AIL of New Zealand overview that usually lasts about one hour. Final interviews will be conducted as a one-on-one comprehensive interview in order to conclude the recruiting process.

What should I take to an interview?
You should bring a great attitude and at least two copies of your resume.

What sort of questions can I expect?
Questions will be based on your past work experience, career objectives, and work ethic. You should plan on spending one to two hours with us on the day of your interview.

Who will interview me?
Someone on the Agency management team will conduct the interview.

Are there different types of interviews?
Yes. The first interview will be a one-on-one session that will last only 10 minutes. The second interview will be an AIL of New Zealand Ltd overview that usually lasts about one hour. The final interview is a one-on-one interview with a senior-level manager that usually lasts about one hour. During the final interview you are given the opportunity to ask anything you want about AIL of New Zealand Ltd or the opportunity for which you are interviewing.

How should I prepare for an interview?
In preparing for your interview, we request you dress professionally. Review your resume and come up with questions for the interviewer. Make sure you are on time.
