A.M. Best affirms A+ Superior ratings of Torchmark Corporation and its subsidiaries. The ratings reflect Torchmark’s status as a niche provider of life insurance, in addition to its diversified and consistent operating earnings. The organization specializes in providing life and supplemental health insurance to middle class Americans through multiple distribution channels.

One of Torchmark’s strengths is its ability to generate consistent operating earnings from each of its subsidiaries. Additionally, A.M. Best notes the recent acquisition of Family Heritage Life Insurance Company of America (Family Heritage) (headquartered in Cleveland, OH), which also should contribute to Torchmark’s premium and earnings growth.

A.M. Best views favorably that the majority of Torchmark’s earnings and premiums are derived from individual life insurance, which is seen as generally more creditworthy than annuity and health insurance products. Improved persistency, ongoing expense management and consistent overall premium growth have been key drivers of Torchmark’s success in the individual life market.

Congratulations to Dora, Tone and Ofa for making the Wall of Fame this May!

Employee of the Month

Dora Farrell

Dora is our most current employee for the month to be recognised for outstanding service, commitment, dedication to her duties and tasks. She has been responsible for our premium accounting system that requires close supervision and up to date status handling. She has a voucher on the way and her parking spot is waiting for her in a distinguished spot.

Agent of the Month

Tone Munro

Tone is our latest agent of the month. She is on a mission to break another company record which was taken from her last year from an AIL Canadian agency so she wants it back in NZ. She travels extensively assisting many rural communities that need help in their insurance needs. She still sends them birthday cards and anniversary notices personally because she promised them some outstanding service. We are waiting for the magical news that the record is shattered once again.

Manager of the Month

Ofa Tavake

Ofa has earned the distinction of the Manager of the Month. Ofa is a very popular successful first name in our agency and in its traditional meaning, this Ofa is heading in the same path of our other world famous legend Ofa Tupouniua. I sometimes work quite late at night in the office at 9 or 10pm where Ofa Tavake is still hard at work helping her team. She certainly knows what hard work means. We are very fortunate to have Ofa on our team!

You may be reading the news out of Oklahoma today. I’ve seen the pictures and read the firsthand accounts — entire neighborhoods decimated, families desperate to find loved ones and our first responders working through the night to save lives. A mile-wide tornado has brought immeasurable damage to the communities in central Oklahoma.

I know it’s easy to feel helpless in the face of such a huge disaster, but Oklahoma needs us right now.

That’s why I’m asking you to donate directly to the United Way of Central Oklahoma. Click here to donate online.

Or, if you’d rather, you can mail your donation to:

United Way of Central Oklahoma
P.O. Box 837
Oklahoma City, Okla. 73101
Be sure to include a notation for May Tornadoes Relief Fund.

Donating directly to the United Way’s disaster relief fund is the best way you can help right now. Money from the fund will be able to buy important supplies like blankets, food and water for survivors. It will keep rescue efforts moving forward at full capacity and it will lay the groundwork for recovery efforts that are just beginning.

Working men and women continue to dig through rubble, comfort survivors and save lives.

Will you help them do this essential work?

Congratulations to Sao, Debbie and Tere for making the Wall of Fame this April!

Employee of the Month

Sao Masina

Sao Masina is our most current employee for the month to be recognised for outstanding service, commitment, dedication to her duties and tasks. She handles our staff, policyholders and managers efficiently, professionally and politely. She also is fun to be with as we have seen her participate for our theme days wearing cool costumes for special celebration days we hold at AIL of NZ (should have seen her at St. Patrick’s Day or Halloween). Congratulations Sao.

Agent of the Month

Debbie Moke

Debbie Moke in Rotorua is our latest agent of the month since she has worked hard last month by enrolling and establishing new policyholders that appreciate what AIL has on offer. She also knows what type of customer service is required to show NZ that AIL is really a great company that earns it’s A+ Superior rating from A. M. Best Company. Debbie in addition to being our agent of the month is also a blooming manager again too. We salute you Debbie!

Manager of the Month

Tere Diamond

Tere Diamond has again earned the distinction of the Manager of the Month. Tere has become a very prominent member of our Leadership Team. Tere is also working on some special projects that will enhance the benefit market apart from any other organisation that has a mission to serve and protect it’s clientele.
Tere is a young man on the move that is expecting his second child soon and we hope the best for Tere’s family and growing career!
