Emergency Relief for Canterbury Policyholders

8th September 2010

For immediate release:

AIL of New Zealand announces emergency relief for policyholders effected by the Canterbury earthquake
AIL would like to extend its support to policyholders effected by the Canterbury earthquake. Any policyholders who are unable to work for the next 30 days will be eligible for an immediate Waiver of Premium – that means that effected Union members will not have to pay any premiums for the next 90 days, but will remain fully covered by their policies. They will not be required to repay any of these waived premiums in the future.

AIL will also be providing direct financial support to its Canterbury staff, who are also currently unable to work due to the current circumstances.

Members wishing to take advantage of this Waiver need to contact AIL’ s Customer Service Centre on freephone 0800 894 121 (Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm.)
